Frank`s Sunny Italy Family in Buffalo

Great portions, great prices, great people. Most of their dishes are wonderful and I have been coming for years. However as of recently, I do not recommend the Spaghetti Carbonara. It was my first time having it there. It was a bit mediocre. No creamy sauce, bits of egg, and no parsley. And instead of pancetta, guanciale or even bacon, there was big chunks of sliced ham. It was unappealing.

We love Frank's! Food is amazing! A classic little hidden Buffalo gem. Family style Italian. Their pizza is to die for. Restaurant & parking lot is small because they're still in original location after all these years. Prices are pretty reasonable. Portions are good sized.

Amazing sauce and bread and meatballs and sausage and pasta.

Service is nice but the food wasn't all that great. Went for a work dinner and you can tell all the food was made well before hand and just tossed on the plate than back into the oven easy to tell because the plate was hotter than the food. When I say hot I mean hot burnt my finger just pinching it once

We visit Franks every few months, and usually food is excellent. However, this visit, food was less delicious, almost like they changed chefs or something.

Ordered takeout for the first time (Covid19 times) and it truly did not disappoint. Easy pick up area. Quality of penne alla vodka can be matched with downstate Italian restaurants. Bravo 👏

We had a party of 7 and some of the meals were great and some were sub par. We called ahead for a gluten allergy (the day before) and they said they would have gluten free pasta available. We came that day and they said it wasn't possible to make any. Very discouraging for us to go there again, when they seem to have no follow through.

Good pizza. Really good wings. Very good mini cannoli.

Food very good, portions huge, service excellent.

Chicken was undercooked in alfredo. Woman was nice on phone when we called. My son brought food back and she lied about phone conversation, said I hung up on her. She kept repeating that chicken is baked in oven and wouldn't look at it. Didn't apologize but returned money. I would NEVER go back or recommend to anyone.

Frank's Sunny Italy has great authentic Italian cuisine great prices & exceptionally large portions! Full bar amenities lots of seating very comfortable clean environment. Family owned and operated children friendly with off-street parking.

Amazing food, serious portions that make it easy to have a delicious and romantic split My family has gone to Frank's since I was little. They are the best people and have the most delicious sauce!!

Food was amazing, but this was the slowest (and one of the dirtiest!) resturants I've ever been to. From a party of 12, several had to send their drinks back because the glasses were dirty--leftover food stuck to them and one even had lipstick on it!! I was honestly afraid to even drink the water after seeing this. Server came back with bottles because they had no other clean beer or wine glasses in the building. Took over 2 hours to get our food, but it was delicious. The 2 star rating is for food quality and the nice waitress, otherwise this place would get 1 star.

Be hungry, very large plates. Price on menu may be of concern until you see how much food you get. Plan on going home after because you will havexa take home box in the car.

I love their pastas. Their red sauce is sweet. I had their chicken and stuffed shells meal. The stuffed shells we're amazing as always but I didn't care for the chicken

I'm all right with going on the record and saying I really liked the food here. But I also ordered the best thing: manicotti.

Great food huge portions

Ordered a bucket of wings (50) with two friends. We were a little hesitant going into it, not being sure if their wings were any good. The barbecue were VERY good. Loaded with good sauce, and fried just the right amount. The medium wings could have been a bit spicier. They tasted like other places' mild. Fries were good. Fried dough at the end was great.

Wonderful italian food, chicken parmesan was fantastic. I really love their sauce. My sone loves their pizza. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because we waited over 45 minutes for our meal. Everytime we go ,its a long wait.

Pretty good place. The only problem was we had a large party and one person had to wait for their food because they ran out of sauce.

As out of towners after reading through the reviews we decided why not try it most are good.... after our meal we wished we listened to the lower star reviews as they nailed it. Upon entry the smell overwhelms you, the staff was attentive and friendly getting our party of 9 seated quickly. However, from there dinner seemed to take a turn for the worse. The smell was still very present and overwhelming, dinner came, the soup was flavorless cold and pasta in it not even cooked. It had to be sent back. The red sauce was super sweet, and the eggplant parm had a funny color and flavor. While the server was polite there was an overall dirty feeling.

Everything is so good! My favorite is their lasagna and New York style pizza.

Never a bad meal here, the food is awesome, large portions and reasonable prices.

The food tastes fantastic. Giant helpings. I will say that even though I gave it 5 stars (based on food) the service has been downright terrible the last two times we were here. Neither time was during the busy dinner hour either.

As the previous reviewer stated, this restaurant was dirty. I was the one in the party of 12 that had lipstick on my glass, and I was not wearing any! This restaurant was a disorganized chaotic mess. 2 hours to get my order of pasta, our party was going to leave but the food came out just as we were ready to storm out. The food was hot and fresh but not worth the total bill of 27 dollars ( I did have a bottle beer too). The waitress was so nice and helpful, her kitchen staff REALLY let her down. I will never go to this place again. Arrived at 6:20pm served food at 8:30pm, and it was not a packed restaurant. Gordon Ramsay needs to stop at this place ASAP. With all the other options in Buffalo, this would be my last pick, after a can of spaghettios.

Went for a late- last minute dinner. They were super nice ! Food was hot and deliscious! And the warm bread hit the spot! Very glad we decided to go there.

Huge portions served piping hot. Love the red sauce. Slightly sweet and thick enough to cling to the pasta. Loved it!

This place has the best home cooked pasta dishes available in Buffallo. Also the best service. Personally one öf my favorite dishes I'd the pasta vodka. Go here for a great meal in a great setting.💕

I love this place. It is a very nice inexpensive place to go and to get a feel of real Sicilian Food. The people there are very friendly and knowledgeable if you’re asking about the food on the menu in the sauce is amazing I would recommend this place to anyone and It’s never too crowded. Usually I love this place, it's definitely not 5 stars by any means, though. The last time I went in with my boyfriend and mom the front desk area smelled horribly of sewage. The dining area smelled better so we decided to stay. The food is nice, it's homestyle, nothing fancy. I hope that off putting smell is gone.
